It’s a brand-new year, and lots of local adoptable cats are ready to start the year by moving into a brand-new home — maybe your home. If you’re currently catless in Montgomery County, or if you’re looking for a kitty companion for your lonely only cat, this is your weekend. The Montgomery County Humane Society (MCHS) is hosting their latest Cat Adoption Open House this Saturday, and they’ll have over 100 cats and kittens for you to meet.
Each cat adopted during the open house will go home with a free microchip and a new litter box. In addition, special discounts are available on “Golden” cats age 7 years and older. If you can’t adopt but would like to help the shelter cats, drop off a kitty toy or some towels and blankets.
The open house is sponsored by Bayer Animal Health and MCHS’s Feline Focus Committee.
