If one of your New Year's resolutions is to be better organized and stick to a more regimented beauty routine, you are not alone. But like most resolutions, the better beauty rituals you promise to keep on January 1st tend to fall by the wayside a few months later. Here are a few organizational tips that will make it easy to remember what's what and when to replace your products.
List Expiration Dates -- Just like food and prescription drugs, cosmetics and skin care products have a shelf life and will lose their effectiveness over time. ID Your Shades -- If you purchase multiple colors of eyeshadows, cheek colors, or lipsticks from the same manufacturer, it can be difficult to tell which is which when you are in a hurry. Indicate the Day and Time -- If you tend to forget which days of the week you use a peel or scrub, place a calendar near your vanity or shower and mark which days you do each regimen. Also label the outside of the container with day and time you should use it (Monday AM, Tuesday PM, etc.).
Label Information On Use -- If you are always forgetting which order you apply your products, label the outside of the container with numbers coinciding with the application order. For example: Step 1: Cleanser, Step 2: Toner, etc. You will be surprised how quick your routine will become when you don't have to read each lablel.
