New year heats up the cases of infringment and theft of original image files

The last article of the year, so the first thing, Happy New Year. The amount of effort this year by many people to help curb the infringement that is going on is amazing. The support and the help are greatly appreciated.

The way to photograph lights either at Christmas or other times will be discussed later. The images are nice and some are pretty good but a tip for those who want to stay in the car, roll down the window and hand hold the camera. Get a small desktop tripod that you can use the door for support. They are relatively cheap and easy to use. Another thing to consider is how your vehicle runs. If you car has a vibration even a very small one it can blur the images.

The cases I have are pretty much ready to proceed with some already started as the letters have been mailed. That starts the clock and the steps to completing the cases. I see 2014 as truly being the hot summer like I said for last year. Last year got side tracked with all the infringement that had taken place. And the continual reposting of the images made it almost mandatory to work on that versus the cases I have started to pursue.

The thing I want you to take from this whole experience is that you have to take the time and effort to defend your work at almost all costs. My main concern now is the health of my son. I hope to have a much clearer picture of his health shortly. That will dictate everything else. Family has always come before anything else and will continue to do so. The last two years have shown me how little it truly means too many people except when they use it for personal gain. If my son is seriously ill all of this will go on hold for whatever time it takes to get through it. There are ways to get around filing deadlines but I have a strong feeling that he will be ok. It may take some time but that is OK. Remember, money and possessions are replaceable and of very little value. Your time is the most valuable thing you can give someone. It is also the first thing people try to take so they can keep theirs for what they want.

I am in contact with groups who are looking at filing class action suits against major real estate companies and the people who use images they did not pay for and have no license to use. I will keep that updated here. If you are interested you can go to places like Flickr and look for them in the groups. There are also groups outside of there. My suggestion is for the groups to combine and work together. There are attorneys who will work with you on that and some will do it cheap or free.

Have a save and Happy New Year. A new year starts and the cases are getting ready to heat up. There are some things that need not to be mentioned here and have not been. The worries about me writing and saying too much are appreciated but the items I discuss here are ones any person could get on their own. The other things will not be listed or discussed here but maybe on the magazine site after they are done. I will discuss more about the long hot and expensive year later. I have a couple of weeks of waiting to do before the real legal processes start.

I am not an attorney. These are my personal opinions and general information only. These are not legal advice and should not be used as such.
