New year and still great activities in Columbus, Ohio for the week ahead

2011 is a done deal. Moving forward into 2012, it’s a time of new planners, new activities to look forward to, and lots of fun with the grandchildren. Living in Columbus affords plenty of activities for kids as well as adults to enjoy together.

Coming up in the next week are a couple of things that might be entered into the planning for a day out with the kids.

Sunday, January 8th, Columbus Children's Theatre presents

Aladdin

  • McCoy Center for the Arts (Mershad hall)
  • Show times are 2:00 and 3:30 PM

The week of January 8th, there is a winter festival for the kids on Saturday, January 14th.

  • Reynoldsburg Winter Festival 2012 (10:00 - 2:00)
  • Kiddie Academy 6411 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg
  • Indoor bounce house
  • Face painting
  • Balloon Sculpting
  • Carnival games and much more
  • (Note: the food and activities are all free)

For the younger crowd, the Dora & Diego exhibit is still available at COSI through January 8th.

It’s always a great time to live in Columbus, and heading into the New Year or anytime, you can find plenty of activities to keep the grandchildren as well as grandparents busy.
