Major Nelson, also know as the spokesman for all things XBOX, has posted a video featuring the new 360 controller with a highly improved D-pad. For years, fans of fighters, sidescrollers and anything involving the D-pad have criticized how poor the D-pad on the controller has been.
The new design hopes to improve the situation with a patented D-pad that changes the height of the "plus sign" with a simple twist of the pad.
In addition to the new d-pad, the matte silver controller also features concave analog sticks and gray A,B,X,Y buttons for added style.
The controller will only be available with the new Play & Charge Kit that will launch on November 9th for US $64.99.
Check out the video below and hopefully with with all me to play games like Scott Pilgrim and Metal Slug without switching to a Street Fight Mad Catz controller. Although the overall feel may have improved, having the D-pad in that location may hurt the comfort of holding the controller when playing a game that only uses the D-pad.
