2K Games further detailed two more playable wrestlers for "WWE 2K15" on the PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360. According to a report from Joystiq on July 15, Sting has been officially confirmed to appear in the wrestling video game. A debut trailer was shown during the latest Monday Night Raw episode where a face-painted symphony played the famous theme of the wrestler as he slowly came into view.
Sting will be available as a pre-order bonus for all versions of the upcoming title. Customers are going to get to two versions. One of which is his younger "surfer" persona with blond "flattop" hairdo and bright-colored ring attire. The second one is his famous "Crow" look where he has black-and-white face paint in addition to a black outfit.
The trailer mentions that both versions of Sting are going to be pre-order launch exclusive for "WWE 2K15." As a result, it appears that customers who decided not to reserve this year's installment may be able to download the legendary wrestler in the future. It is unknown if 2K Games will be charging for the two characters, however. In "WWE 2K14," the publisher offered a selection for free characters to go along with some of the premium DLC packs.
The inclusion of Sting in the video game should be the first of many promotion efforts from the WWE with the legendary wrestling figure. A DVD is also expected to be produced featuring the career of the wrestler. He is rumored to perform a match at Wrestlemania 31 next year as well, perhaps against The Undertaker.
"WWE 2K15" is the first entry of the franchise to be developed for the PS4 and Xbox One as "WWE 2K14" did not come out on the two next-generation systems last year. The new game is coming out for all consoles in North America on Oct. 28. A image featuring the two versions of Sting from the official WWE Games Twitter site can be seen near the top of this article.
