“New Works,” an exhibition of paintings by Will Berry, and “it is what it is,” paintings by Erik Gonzalez, opens tonight at Page Bond Gallery with a reception from 7 to 9 p.m.
Nashville born and raised Berry has resided in Mexico City for the last six years.
Berry’s abstract pieces deal with metals, including aluminum, white lead and graphite.
Gonzalez, who currently lives and works in Brooklyn, N.Y., earned his bachelor’s of fine arts from Virginia Commonwealth University and his master’s of fine arts from Yale University.
In one of his many artist’s statements, Gonzalez said that the use of his exhibit’s title “ranks at the top of his list of domesticated peeves.”
Both artists’ work will be on exhibit through Saturday, November 26.
Page Bond Gallery is located at 1625 West Main Street, and can be reached at 804/ 359-3633. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
