New Woodfire Grill chef offers special menu

On Monday, March 11, Woodfire Grill is celebrating the arrival of Executive Chef Tyler Williams with an “Eat, Meet and Greet” dinner. Prior to his arrival at Woodfire Grill, Williams was the executive chef at Abattoir in Atlanta. He has also worked at several other notable restaurants, including Genoa in Portland, Ore. and Graham Elliot in Chicago.

Typically the restaurant is closed on Monday evenings; however, owners Nicolas Quinones and Bernard Moussa chose to make an exception in order to properly honor the occasion. Guests will enjoy a five-course dinner specially prepared by Williams and will also have the opportunity throughout the night to speak to the new chef. “I want the dishes I serve guests to be unique and individual and a true reflection of me,” said Williams. “My style is a little whimsical, but grounded in flavor and technique.”

The menu for the evening includes: Celery root lollipop, hackleback caviar, seared beets, sorrel, apple custard, jus, duck fat poached halibut, spring vegetable pasta, warm citrus vinaigrette, pheasant breast and leg, root vegetables, lemon confit, rosemary, baked potato foam, medium rare beef tartare au poivre, sweet potato, farm egg and strawberry carpaccio, shaved foie gras, pickled spring onion, brioche and ganache truffle stones.

The cost is $70 per person and does not include tax or gratuity. Wine pairings are available for $10 for a full pour and $5 for a half pour. Reservations are available beginning at 6 p.m. and seating is limited. Guests can call 404-347-9055 to make a reservation.

The Woodfire Grill is located at 1782 Cheshire Bridge Road and serves dinner Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, visit Woodfire Grill.com or call 404-347-9055.
