Movie fans in Scottsdale are waiting for the release of "The Wolverine" to theaters later this year. On Monday, Jan. 14, Digital Spy shared the latest photo from the film. Getty Images also shared new photos of Hugh Jackman at the Golden Globe Awards. Check out all of the photos here. "Wolverine" is being brought to the big screen by James Mangold, and he did speak a bit about the character's mind set at this time in the "X-Men" franchise. He said that Wolverine is "without a master, without a purpose. Kind of a soldier who is cut loose."
Hugh Jackman is busy with another one of films though. He won Best Actor for his role in "Les Miserables" at the Golden Globes, but in a new interview with Extra, the actor admits he almost didn't take on the role. He said the following, according to Extra:
"I’ll be honest with you, there was a moment about three weeks before, I almost quit. I honestly had the worst day of rehearsals, humiliating day of rehearsals. I came out of it and said [to his wife], ‘Babe, now’s the time I quit, there’s someone else out there’ and she talked me off that cliff."
He thanked his wife on stage for making him stick with the project. Fans are buzzing about this actor and his work on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
Also, sobbed my bloody heart out. Hugh Jackman, where've you been hiding that voice?? #LesMis
Scottsdale residents will be able to see "The Wolverine" at the Harkins Scottsdale Fashion Square 7 or at another local theater in the area once it is released this summer.
