With fans still begging for a "Charmed" movie and Zenescope not providing any news of season ten of the "Charmed" comics, "Charmed" fans may have another option to watch to tide them over until more Charmed will be delivered.
Melissa dela Cruz's book, "Witches of East End" is being made into a television series that will feature a mom and two daughters learning about their witchy heritage. There will be romance, action and appears to hold to the books respect for witches.
The show will air on Lifetime Television on October 6 and there have been ten episodes ordered thus far. The series will star Julia Ormond, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Rachel Boston, and Mädchen Amick.
The book tells the story of the Beauchamp family, Joanna is the mother and Ingrid and Freya are the daughters. In the book, the family has been ordered not to use their witchly powers because of what happened during the Salem Witch Trials as well another event that may just spoil the book and the show.
But, Lifetime has said that the girls will not be aware of their heritage in the television show and a lot of the story is trying to find out who they are and where they came from. This is all that has been released thus far.
