Are you tired of keeping track of all the different websites to search when planning your RV travels? To research a wide range of campground options, an RVer typically needs to find and consult websites for state parks, national parks, private RV park and campground associations, RV clubs, and more. Otherwise they only get a partial view of the venues available.
A new website portal, AccessCamping.com, now gives you access to more than 500 private and public campgrounds, RV parks and resorts across the country. Access Canadian Camping
provides similar information for much of Canada.
The AccessCamping.com website is easy to use. Start your search by selecting a state. Then explore the options in three categories: private campgrounds, state campgrounds and campground affiliations.
The campground affiliations category provides a variety of links, including ones to:
- US Army Corps of Engineers recreation areas,
- online databases of the major campground industry directories, including those of Trailer Life, Woodall’s and the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds
- campground chains, such as Kampgrounds of America Inc. (KOA) and Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts.
At this point, the site does not have a link to the national parks. In the meantime, you can find out about all the U.S national parks at www.nps.gov.
AccessCamping.com also includes an iPod application.
