In today’s workplace, employees are often on the go, no longer confined to the standard 9-5 office environments epitomized in movies and TV shows like “Office Space” or “Workaholics” (as entertaining as they are). From nurses to salespeople, entrepreneurs to customer service representatives, more people than ever working from the airport, the bus, the Whole Foods line and their homes.
In fact, the number of people who work via laptops, smartphones or tablets is expected to double by 2015, according to Gartner, an information technology research and advisory company. With this ever-growing trend in mind, it’s more crucial than ever for businesses to ensure the right tools are in place to allow teams to continue to communicate and collaborate.
