Sony announced quite a bit of news surrounding the PlayStation Vita on Monday. The biggest being the official confirmation of the Vita Slim, which will initially come bundled with the long awaited Borderlands 2 and a 8GB Memory Card. In addition to the game, six DLC packs that will most likely take up all 8GB on that card. Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, Psycho Character Class, Mechromancer Character Class, Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 1 and the Collector’s Edition Pack will all be available.
Borderlands 2 will feature 4 player co-op, along with touchscreen and rear pad integration. More importantly, cross-platform saving will be available so players can bring over their previous saves. The new system is 20% slimmer and weighs 15% less than the current model, and includes a 5" LCD screen. Along with improved battery life, the Slim will have 1 GB of internal memory.
Although there is no exact date yet, the bundle is slated for this spring. Also announced was the God of War Collection, which is due out in May. Check out the video on this page for the trailer for upcoming Vita titles and the Slim.
