During a live streaming broadcast on Feb. 18, Square-Enix gave brief previews of upcoming titles for the PS Vita, including "Soul Sacrifice" and "Valhalla Knights 3." Part of an ongoing series of press releases no doubt aimed at building hype in anticipation of the PS4's impending Feb. 20 reveal, the video ended on a nostalgic note, unveiling new footage of "Final Fantasy X HD," the PS2 classic's current-gen remake.
First announced in 2011, during the Tokyo Game Show, "Final Fantasy X HD" has gotten the full high-def treatment, with upgraded character models and environments, all suited for the Vita and PS3. Though no release date was given that night, the game's producer Shinji Hashimoto did apologize for the delay, explaining, in true Square-Enix fashion, that the company wanted to give fans the fullest, truest representation of the game, and promised that a release date would be announced soon.
