October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and everyone is getting in on the act, including an ad agency promoting Nestlé Fitness cereal in Europe. They launched a new campaign over the weekend to bring greater attention to the disease via a so-called "tweeting bra" that posts automatically to Twitter.
Each time Greek TV host Maria Bacodimou unhooks her specially built top, a signal will be triggered than sends out a tweet reminding her Twitter followers to conduct their monthly breast self-exam.
"Some don’t understand me cause I speak Greek," reads one of the messages. "Instead of learning Greek, learn something easier: how to have a self-exam!"
Is this clever advertising, a smart publicity campaign or just silly? What do you think? Sound off in the comments below!
