Corner Bakery Cafe debuted the newest member of its signature grilled panini lineup, the Turkey Monterey Panini, on Feb. 26.
The made-to-order Turkey Monterey Panini features smoked turkey, fresh spinach and provolone cheese, layered on sourdough bread with a homemade artichoke asiago spread. Corner Bakery Cafe was one of the first fast-casual restaurants in the country to offer grilled panini and this version sounds like a winner: bold flavors in layers of fresh ingredient.
As a big fan of the traditional Greek soup called Avgolemono, I'm personally excited to know that I need not trek to Greek Town for a fix of the warming, bright concoction. Also new on the Corner Bakery menu is Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup, which combines the savory flavors of chicken, red and yellow peppers, carrots, celery, onions, tomatoes and orzo pasta simmered in a creamy broth with a hint of lemon. You can pair this soup with a half Turkey Monterey Panini to create a Corner Combo, which averages $7.99.
