New trailer released for the direct-to-video anime Iron Man: Rise of Technovore

In the wake of the excitement of the May 3 release of Iron Man 3, Marvel doesn't want you to forget about another movie featuring their beloved character. Coming out on April 16 on DVD/Blu-Ray, Iron Man: Rise of the Technovore has a new trailer, released by Marvel, spotlighting more of the film, and the characters involved in the direct-to-video feature, while giving hints of the story of the film in the process.

The story of Iron Man: Rise of the Technovore involves Iron Man in a battle with Ezekiel Stane, who has set Tony Stark up to take the fall after an attack Stane unleashed himself. Now Iron Man is on the run from S.H.I.E.L.D and has to clear his good name. The characters featured in the trailer are The Punisher, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Nick Fury, Pepper Potts, and War Machine, giving them all their moments to shine in this teaser trailer.

Iron Man: Rise of the Technovore is directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki (Texhnolyze) and has a story by Brandon Auman (Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes). The voice cast includes, Matthew Mercer (Resident Evil: Damnation) as Iron Man, Clare Grant (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) as Black Widow, and last but not least, Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead) as The Punisher. The anime is a collaboration between Marvel and Studio Madhouse, continuing their relationship following their work together on the Wolverine, X-Men, Iron Man, and Blade anime.

Iron Man: Rise of the Technovore will be a highly anticipated release for sure when it releases on April 16. From the looks of the trailer, no comic, anime, or animation fan alike is going to want to miss Iron Man: Rise of the Technovore.
