The first trailer for The Last Exorcism Part II debuted barely a week ago, promising a very different sort of horror film than the fake documentary style of the hit original. Now a new one has come online, shorter in length but connecting the dots between both films a little bit better. Ashley Bell is back as Nell Sweetzer, who is trying to start a new life in Louisiana, until the same demon that possessed her before rears its ugly head. Eli Roth is producing, with Ed Gass-Donnelly taking over as director.
The Last Exorcism Part II opens on March 1st.
PLOT: Continuing where the first film left off, Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell) is found terrified and alone in rural Louisiana. Back in the relative safety of New Orleans, Nell realizes that she can’t remember entire portions of the previous months only that she is the last surviving member of her family. Just as Nell begins the difficult process of starting a new life, the evil force that once possessed her is back with other, unimaginably horrific plans that mean her last exorcism was just the beginning.
