Since 1963, Tony Stark has been a playboy, genius, philanthropist, and superhero as the armored Iron Man, one of the founding members of Marvel's The Avengers, who was also assembled that same year to fight the foes and battles that no one can withstand alone.
Stark has saved the world more than once -- including fighting alongside Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Hawkeye, and Black Widow as "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" last summer. More than that, he got the girl: his longtime, long-suffering assistant Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow).
So, why can't Tony Stark sleep in Iron Man 3? Two words: the Mandarin (Sir Ben Kingsley), who wants to teach him and the world a lesson: there's no such thing as heroes.
One of the taglines for the 2008 original, though, was "Heroes aren't born. They're built", which led to the creation of Iron Man, whom Stark claimed that he and the suit are one in 2010's Iron Man 2.
However, there's more going to be more than one suit in Iron Man 3, as Stark sends a message to the Mandarin: he wants "good, old-fashioned revenge".
Iron Man 3 comes out April 25, so check out the new trailer on TVGuide.com.
