Paramount Pictures, MGM and Skydance Productions, in association with Hasbro, has announced the release of a four-minute preview for their highly-anticipated action sequel "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" which will play in theaters beginning Jan. 24 and running during all “Hansel & Gretal: Witch Hunters” theatrical engagement.
Based on the best-selling Hasbro characters, "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" is the follow-up to “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,” which grossed more than $300 million worldwide. Click Here to watch a sneak peek from the four-minute preview.
In the sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra, but they are forced to contend with threats from within their own government that jeopardize their very existence.
The film stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce, Ray Stevenson, Elodie Yung, Channing Tatum with Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson. Its directed by Jon M. Chu, and produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner of Hasbro, from a screenplay by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick, based on Hasbro’s G.I. Joe characters.
“G.I. Joe: Retaliation” was originally scheduled for a release last summer but delays due to 3-D visual effects conversion resulted in the film's release being changed several times. It will now open in theaters everywhere March 29, 2013. For more info visit: http://www.gijoemovie.com
