Eidos Montreal released a new trailer for "Thief" yesterday that is geared towards introducing us to the game's protagonist while drawing us into his world.
While this is technically the fourth installment of the long running series, this is also a reboot. As Gamingbolt points out, the game has had its fair share of detractors.
It seems clear the trailer was made to try and quiet those detractors by showing us a bit of still footage from the game, along with an intense voice over narration. Rather than show us a ton of what the gameplay has to offer, this video is clearly geared at setting the tone of the world in "Thief."
Eidos Montreal has had some hits and some misses in the short term, but the company has also had some big success with games like "Deus Ex" and "Hitman."
One of the reasons the studio has drawn quite a bit of fire over this game is just how long people have had to wait for this installment. "Thief" isn't due out until February 28, 2014.
In the meantime, check out the slideshow above and watch the trailer. Then tell us if you think this is a game you're eventually going to pick up.
