Movie fans in Scottsdale are waiting for the release of "The Place Beyond The Pines" to theaters, and now they are being given a look at the film. On Sunday, Dec. 30, Just Jared shared new photos from the film. The Playlist also shared a poster from the film. Check out all of the photos here. This film will feature Bradley Cooper and Ryan Gosling as men on opposite sides. The Playlist shared the following details about the film's plot:
"A mysterious and mythical motorcycle racer, Luke, (Ryan Gosling) drives out of a traveling carnival globe of death and whizzes through the backstreets of Schenectady, New York, desperately trying to connect with a former lover, Romina, (Eva Mendes) who recently and secretly gave birth to the stunt rider's son. In an attempt to provide for his new family, Luke quits the carnival life and commits a series of bank robberies aided by his superior riding ability. The stakes rise as Luke is put on a collision course with an ambitious police officer, Avery Cross, (Bradley Cooper) looking to quickly move up the ranks in a police department riddled with corruption."
The film will span a fifteen year period where Cooper's character will try repeatedly to take down the bank robber. The film also features appearances by Ray Liotta, Rose Byrne, Ben Mendelsohn, Dane DeHaan, and Bruce Greenwood. This film is being brought to the screen by Focus Features and Derek Cianfrance. Gosling and Cianfrance also worked together on "Blue Valentine."

Scottsdale residents will be able to see this film at the Harkins Scottsdale Fashion Square 7 or at another local theater in the area once it is released.
