What’s the point of a reboot if you’re not going to reboot the music either?

Well, Along with the spanking new poster, the studio released the film’s theme song, “Shell Shocked,” via Complex. The new song features some of Hip-Hop’s top talent, Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa and Ty Dolla $ign.

This is not the first time the Turtles kicked Foot Clan butt to a Hip-Hop tune, fans of the pizza eating Turtles remember when Vanilla Ice rapped “Ninja Rap” in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret of The Ooze.”

The studio is cranking up their marketing for the August 8 release and there is no secret as to why.

Early on in the film’s development producer, Michael Bay, stated that “These turtles are from an alien race” at an annual Nickelodeon upfront presentation. These comments sparked an unforgiving onslaught of negative feedback from fans that forced the producer to step back and revaluate their strategy.

With the film’s promotional materials and it’s fresh theme, it looks like the filmmakers are out to prove its detesters wrong and provide a TMNT film that services fans of the original films and reigns in new fans.

You can see the Turtles devour pizza and the foot clan when the film hits theaters August 8. If you are a fan of new song “Shell Shocked” will be released tomorrow on ITunes.
