New Tanglewood season features Josh Groban, James Taylor, and Jason Alexander

In the midst of a bitterly cold winter, soaking in the bright sunshine on the Tanglewood lawn or sitting in the Koussevitsky Music Shed in the Berkshires seems entirely too far away. However, it is never too early to make plans for Tanglewood! While waiting for Tanglewood’s opening night in July, relive Tanglewood’s 75th anniversary season which is available on Blu-Ray and DVD featuring Music Director and principal conductor of the Boston Pops Keith Lockhart, Grammy-winning artist James Taylor, pianist Peter Serkin, Boston Symphony Orchestra Music Director Andris Nelsons, and critically-acclaimed film composer John Williams, who was recently nominated for an Oscar for the 49th time.

The upcoming Tanglewood season features renowned singer Josh Groban, the return of five-time Grammy award-winner James Taylor, actor and Broadway star Jason Alexander, Film Night with John Williams, Tanglewood Food and Wine Classic event, and the premiere of the classic film, ‘The Wizard of Oz’ with live orchestration! Spend the 4th of July with James Taylor and then acclaimed soprano Renee Fleming kicks off opening night at Tanglewood on Saturday, July 5. Fleming will take the stage to sing 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at this year's Superbowl.

Other season highlights include appearances by the Emerson String Quartet, 2014 Festival of Contemporary Music, Tanglewood on Parade as well as the rich music of Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Bernstein and much more!
