New Talking Volumes series begins October 7th

Kerri Miller Talking Volumes imageMinnesota Public Radio's Kerri Miller will kick off another season of the Talking Volumes series on October 7th, when she'll be joined by James Ellroy to discuss his new book, Blood's a Rover. Ellroy's previous works include L.A. Confidential and The Black Dahlia.

This season marks the tenth anniversary of the discussion series which calls itself "a book club where the author shows up." Throughout the winter, host Kerri Miller welcomes various authors to the stage at the Fitzgerald Theater to discuss their works. Past seasons have included authors like Sandra Cisneros, Wally Lamb, Rita Dove and Judy Bloom. This season features a lineup of best-selling authors representing a broad range of genres and styles:

October 7: James Ellroy

November 11: Barbara Kingsolver

November 18: Stephen King & Audrey Niffenegger

May 19: Monica Ali

All shows start at 7 pm at the Fitzgerald Theater. Tickets are $18.00 for MPR members, Star Tribune Talking Volumes members, and members of the Loft Literary Center. Non-member tickets are $20.00. All tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
