Another RPG character has been confirmed for "Super Smash Bros. 4" for Wii U and 3DS. According to a report from Siliconera on Sept. 1, Riki will be making several cameos in the crossover fighting game. The creature can be used as an assist trophy as it has many abilities such as Happy Happy, Freezinate, and Yoink. Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of the "Super Smash Bros." series, also admitted that Riki sounds somewhat similar to Tingle from "The Legend of Zelda," another character that will be making a cameo in the upcoming title.
Riki is also a part of the Final Smash attack from Shulk, who was recently officially announced as the latest addition to the "Super Smash Bros. 4" for Wii U and 3DS roster. The main character from "Xenoblade Chronicles" was leaked along with several other fighters when an individual posted some images and videos of an early copy that was supposed to be sent to the ESRB in order to get rated. Although Nintendo eventually cracked down on the leaks, it was too late to prevent it from hitting major news sites and gaming communities.
Masahiro Sakurai also revealed another new feature that should streamline the gameplay in the fourth main "Super Smash Bros." title. A cursor will be appearing on participants who are using the assist trophy and Pokemon summons. As a result, it should be easier to tell which assist characters are helping out which fighters, especially in some instances in which there are multiple summoned individuals appearing on the battlefield.
The "Super Smash Bros. 4" release date for 3DS is drawing near as the handheld version is being released next month on Oct. 3. Console players have to wait a little while later as "Super Smash Bros. 4" for Wii U has a vague release date window of later this holiday season.
