More character details have been announced by Nintendo regarding "Super Smash Bros 4" for Wii U and 3DS. According to a report from Game and Guide on June 24, Masahiro Sakurai announced a new alternate costume for Link. The hero was shown wearing his "ordinary clothes" from "The Legend of Zelda" Skyward Sword." The Wii exclusive game came out on Nov. 20, 2011, and ended up being one of the most critically-acclaimed and best-selling titles on the system.

The alternate costume won't be the only "The Legend of Zelda" Skyward Sword" cameo in "Super Smash Bros 4" for Wii U. The console version of the crossover fighting game also features a stage based on Skyloft, the large floating island found above the clouds in the action-adventure title. Players will be battle on a platform while flying through the various landmarks of the area. Cameos based on the items as well as other stages and characters from the "Zelda" franchise have also been previously announced.

The official "Super Smash Bros" Facebook page also revealed new details on the recently-announced Pac-Man. The third-party guest can use a special maneuver called the Bonus Fruit, which will give the character certain bonuses based on what fruits and the amount of charge times are used. You can find a screen of the move from the same Facebook site near the top of this article. The full description can be seen below:

Check out Pac-Man's standard special move, Bonus Fruit. As you charge this move, the bonuses will change, and all of them have different characteristics and movement patterns when thrown. The bonuses cycle in the same order as in the original game, and the charge-up period doubles once you cycle beyond the orange.

Pac-Man, who was announced at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, is the latest third-party character to be confirmed for "Super Smash Bros 4" for Wii U and 3DS. The other two are Mega Man, who will also be making his debut in the upcoming game, in addition to Sonic the Hedgehog, a returning guests from "Super Smash Bros Brawl." The 3DS game is coming out on Oct. 3. The Wii U release will be released later in the holiday season.
