A potential leak recently popped up in regards to a new character in the upcoming "Super Smash Bros 4" for Wii U and 3DS. According to a report from Gameranx on May 28, an off-screen shot featuring the portable version of the crossover fighting game features Reggie Fils-Aime as a playable character. The popular Nintendo executive is one of the most wanted fighters fans wanted to appear in the series. He previously expressed some interests in the inclusion although he admitted that the decision is ultimately up to Masahiro Sakurai.

Reggie Fils-Aime joined Nintendo as the executive vice president of sales and marketing in 2003. He would eventually worked his way up to food chain to become the current chief operating officer and president for Nintendo of America. Fans of the company recognize him for his memorable quotes during various press events.

However, the leaked photo in "Super Smash Bros 4" for 3DS is apparently a hoax. Fans of the upcoming game found that the hands of the in-game model of Reggie Fils-Aime matches the gloves worn by Mario. It is unlikely that the development teams will be using the same body parts for completely different characters.

A cast of 30 fighters have been confirmed so far for the sequel. A vast majority of the characters will be returning from previous games while the rest are newcomers. A screen showing off the aforementioned Mario in the Wii U version of the crossover fighting title from the official Facebook webpage can be viewed near the top of the article.

Nintendo may not be done announcing new fighters, however, as the previously-released "Super Smash Bros Brawl" features 39 characters. The company is holding a lengthy conference at E3 2014 just for the new video game. The 3DS iteration of "Super Smash Bros 4" is coming out first as it is expected to come out before the end of summer while the Wii U version has been pushed until later in the winter season in North America.
