New 'Star Trek 2' photos: Alice Eve clears up villain rumors (Photos)

Movie fans in Scottsdale are waiting to see "Star Trek: Into the Darkness" in theaters. On Sunday, Feb. 10, Movie Web shared two new photos from the film. Comics Alliance also shared photos of the new toys being released for the film. Check out all of the photos by visiting the slide show. If you missed any of the previously released photos for this film, go here.

These new photos show Kirk with Spock in one, and the second shows off the villain, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, with Kirk. Recent rumors have labeled the villain to be Kahn. He was the villain in the second "Star Trek" film with the original cast. Alice Eve has spoken out about the rumors at an event held Sunday, and she said the following, according to Coming Soon on Monday:

"He's not playing Khan."

As for the new merchandise being released in relation to the film, KRE-O building sets tease possible events in the film. This includes a volcano mission for Spock, and transporter trouble incident. A Klingon Bird of Prey building set is also included in the new line.

Fans are buzzing about the upcoming release of this film on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:

Luke kissed his sister. Kirk kissed EVERYONE's sister. #StarTrek

Scottsdale residents will be able to see this film at the Harkins Scottsdale Fashion Square 7 or at another local theater in the area once it is released in May.
