Viking has released their new culinary program calendar for Spring 2010. For anyone who needs to brush up on cooking skills and techniques, wants to get new menu ideas, or in interested in taking their cooking expertise to a new level, there's a class for that!

- Spring Fling - featuring spicy lamb lettuce wraps and fresh caprese salad bites, among others
- The related Spring Fling Cocktail Party - teaching adults (16 and over) how to prepare the perfect spring cocktail buffet, with items including Shrimp Ceviche and Lemon-Drop Martini
- Basic Knife Skills - helping home chefs master techniques for chopping, mincing, dicing, and more. Viking provides the knives for this class. Ages 16 and up only, please.
The more dedicated and motivated aspiring chefs will be interested in Viking's Spring 2010 Viking University 2 Culinary Program. This is the school's most skills-based class yet. Over six weeks, cooks will meet to learn skills related to meat, fish, and poultry cooking, as well as knife skills and other essential cooking techniques such as braising, searing, and steaming.
