Come Monday we will know the newest addition to the Smash roster
Super Smash Bros.

The update to the Super Smash Bros. website today featured a bit of big news for fans as it announced that there will be a character reveal on July 14.

Unlike in the past, the announcement wont be apart of a Nintendo Direct or anything like that. It will be a video solely for the purpose of unveiling the newest addition to the Smash Bros. roster.

The video will stream simultaneously worldwide, starting at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. According to the official Super Smash Bros. Facebook page, the stream will last for about 3 minutes.

Other than Wii-Fit Trainer, none of the roster additions have been really that surprising. Most of the speculation as of late has centered around characters like Chrom from Fire Emlbem, Ridley from Metroid and Shulk from Xenoblade. With all that said though the game's creator, Masahiro Sakurai, has never quite done what people expected.

It very well could be one of those aforementioned characters, but it is impossible to predict what Sakurai really has planned. What we do know however is that this may be one of the last new challengers that we see before release, at least according to Sakurai.

"Looks like we're nearing the bottom of the stash of new challenger video that we've made... Like always, we put a lot of effort into it, so I hope you'll enjoy watching it live."

While this may mean that we wont get many more videos for newcomers, it does not mean that there will not be other new characters in the game. There will still likely be other hidden characters to be unlocked once the game is released.

No matter who is revealed come Monday, it is sure to build a ton of hype. Check back here for all the info on the newcomer (hopefully it's Paper Mario.)
