New Smartphone app considered for Mosquito Lagoon

Smartphones are the rage these days and fishing apps are popping up regularly. Navionics has an app that gives user marine charts to use as they navigate with great weather and related fishing information.

The iAngler app gives anglers the possibility of participating in resource management by collecting data on their fishing trip and summiting it for use by resource managers.

A new app is being considered specifically for Mosquito Lagoon.

Kamara Bowerman, a masters student at the University of Central Florida has created a survey to help in the development of the Mosquito Lagoon app. If you are a Mosquito Lagoon angler or boater and want to participate in the development of the app it is as easy as clicking the link below and answering a few questions.

Proceeds from the sale of the app will go to restoration projects in Mosquito Lagoon. If you would like more information you can contact Kamra directly at K.bowerman@knights.ucf.edu.
