New small ship line Pearl Seas Cruises announces Caribbean schedule for 2015

Pearl Seas Cruises, a small-ship, luxury cruise line that will debut in 2014, released itinerary information for its 2015 Caribbean season. According to a Dec. 3, 2013 press release received by Examiner, the 210-passenger Pearl Mist will offer a variety of cruises to the southern and eastern Caribbean between February and May 2015.

Six cruise itineraries will be offered, ranging in length from seven to 11 nights and originating from San Juan, St. Martin, or West Palm Beach. The small size of the ship will enable visits to several islands that are not accessible to larger vessels.

Itineraries are as follows.

Path of the Explorers—Southbound

  • Feb. 21, 2015: 11 nights, West Palm Beach to St. Martin
  • Freeport, Nassau, San Salvador, Turks & Caicos, Santo Domingo, San Juan, St. Barts, St. Martin

Grand Caribbean—St. Martin

  • March 4, 2015: 10 nights, St. Martin round-trip
  • March 28, 2015: 11 nights, St. Martin to San Juan
  • Tortola, Jost Van Dyke, St. Croix, Nevis, St. Kitts, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Antigua, St. Barts, Saba

Caribbean Discovery—St. Martin

  • March 14 and March 21, 2015: 7 nights, St. Martin round-trip
  • Tortola, San Juan, St. Croix, Nevis, St. Kitts, St. Barts, Saba

Grand Caribbean—Puerto Rico

  • Apr. 8, 2015: 10 nights, San Juan round-trip
  • Jost Van Dyke, Tortola, St. Martin, Saba, St. Barts, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Nevis, St. Kitts, St. Croix

Caribbean Discovery—Puerto Rico

  • Apr. 19 and Apr. 25, 2015: 7 nights, San Juan round-trip
  • St. Croix, Nevis, St. Kitts, St. Barts, Saba, St. Martin, Tortola

Path of the Explorers—Northbound

  • May 2, 2015: 11 nights, San Juan to Freeport
  • St. Croix, Tortola, Jost Van Dyke, Santo Domingo, Turks & Caicos, San Salvador, Nassau

Pearl Mist is currently nearing completion in Maryland and will begin cruising in June 2014 in the Canadian Maritimes, New England, Great Lakes, and the Thousand Islands. According to Pearl Seas Cruises, the ship measures 335 feet long, six decks high, and can carry up to 210 passengers.
