A new web site has launched to help spark science studies with kids. Science by Topic features a different theme each month and encourages kids to submit videos or photographs of experiments, posters or presentations they create on the month's theme.
The site was created by a homeschooling mom, who says she started the site in order to add spark to their family's science studies.
She explains:
It has a monthly topic and corresponding resources, for age groups 4 to 8 (Bumblebees) and 9 to 12 (Cheetahs). I welcome all the kids (with the support of parents), to submit any kind of projects based on the topic.
Do not forget to enter your name, location and a few lines about your project. I will compile all the submissions, and post them in the gallery section, by the month end.
This month's theme for the BumbleBee age group is Energy. This month's theme for the Cheetah age group is Flight.
Check out the site for recommended books, videos and other resources to go along with each monthly theme.
