New show news: Sean Carey, Family Groove Company, and Delta Rae book DM dates

Several new Central Iowa concert dates have been added in the past several days. Here is an update on upcoming Des Moines shows from Bon Iver's S. Carey, Family Groove Company, and Delta Rae.

Bon Iver drummer S. Carey (born Sean Carey) brings his solo project to Des Moines' Vaudeville Mews on Monday, July 14 for a 9 p.m. show. The Eau Claire, Wisconsin native's current tour is in support of his third solo release, Range of Light, which came out on April 1. The concert will be a 21-and-over show, and tickets may be purchased in advance through Ticketfly for $12 or at the door for $15. Check out S. Carey's single "In the Dirt" in the nearby video.

Chicago jam band Family Groove Company returns to Des Moines for a show at Wooly's on June 13. The band has released three studio albums and one live album of their "groove-informed jazz rock", and they have plans for a fifth release later this year. FGC's 9 p.m. show at Wooly's will be a 21-and-up event, and tickets will be $10.

Durham, North Carolina Americana group Delta Rae (featured slideshow) will stop in Des Moines on July 9 for an 8 p.m. concert at Wooly's. The sextet started by the Hölljes siblings (Brittany, Eric, and Ian) released a new EP entitled Chasing Twisters in November of last year. The release's first single, "If I Loved You", features Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac. Tickets for the all ages Des Moines show are $16.50 in advance through Ticketfly and $20 at the door.
