The Handmade & Vintage Chick Event is coming to Park Place in Leawood, Kansas September 12-13, 2014. Shoppers will find unique handmade and vintage products created by artists from Kansas City and around the Midwest.
“Guests will be treated to vendors selling unique, handmade and vintage products. Etsy-loving, Pinterest obsessed, DIY wanna-bees won’t want to miss this event, combining everything handmade, vintage, refurbished, shabby chic and ultra cool together for one weekend,” said Aimee Jacobson, President, Just For Her Events.
The boutiques and restaurants at Park Place will also be participating in the weekend’s events. Food, music, entertainment and shopping will be available along with everything Park Place has to offer.
Park Place features locally-owned and unique shopping and dining destinations in an open-air pedestrian-friendly, classic Main Street inspired district located at 117th & Nall in Leawood, Kansas.
Gordon Biersch, RA Sushi, Aloft Leawood-Overland Park, TallulahBelle’s and Picasso Exotic Aquatics are just a few of the stores and restaurants that call Park Place home.
Chick Events is also partnering with a local non-profit, REbeL, Inc. during this event. REbeL’s mission is to change the definition of beauty and health for every body. REbeL envisions a world in which individuals are valued for who they are rather than how they look. REbeL will be on-site at the events sharing information about their organization and how schools and teens can get involved in this important mission.
“REbeL is honored and excited to partner with Chick Events. We are not only shifting the way our culture views body image, we are shifting the mentality of students who will soon be managing businesses, creating marketing campaigns, raising families, and raising kids while seeing the beauty in every shape, instead of overlooking it. We can’t wait to share this with the community at the Chick Event!” said Molly Groebe, Director of Operations and Development.
