There are few designers out there that can boast the “Project Runway” pedigree that Mondo Guerra can. The fashion designer was fan favorite of his season, runner up of “Project Runway: Season Eight,” winner of his season of “Project Runway: All Stars,” and is a current mentor on the “Project Runway” replacement show “Under the Gunn.”

This reality television fashion competition success has paid off for Mondo Guerra. Earlier this year he announced he’d be designing for See Eyewear and then just as quickly announced his new shoe collection in collaboration with Crocs! On top of these partnerships Mondo has continued to create for his own celebrity favorite eponymous line.

The Crocs collaboration features everything you would expect from Mondo Guerra. Fun colors, pattern mixing, and every little detail accounted for- right down to the specialty Mondo themed packaging. The fashion designer created three flats for the collection and all retail in a very affordable price range, just $39.99 to $49.99. The three shoes in the collection are all inspired by winning looks Mondo created while on “Project Runway” and “Project Runway: All Stars.”

The only downside is that these are a limited edition collection available only in the Crocs Harold Square flagship store located at 152 West 34th Street in New York City. Of course some crafty shoppers have already listed pairs of the limited edition Mondo Crocs on auction sites like eBay. The line launched just last week and has reportedly been a steady seller at the Crocs store, leading to speculation that an extended line may become available online in the summer.

Mondo Guerra is following in the footsteps of other celebrity designers who have decided to launch limited edition shoe collections in recent months. Most notably the long talked about SJP shoe line from Sarah Jessica Parker launched just a few weeks ago. The actress kicked off her partnership with Nordstrom with the opening of a short lived New York City pop up store during the first few days of her launch.

Like Guerra Parker, a former “Project Runway” guest judge, saw many of her shoes end up on eBay quickly after the collection hit the shelves.
