New shaming trend slams body types of young girls

There’s a brand new shaming trend sweeping the Internet, and it’s quickly becoming the new form of cyber bullying.

Young girls, and evens some boys, are hopping onto Tumblur and Facebook to post shaming memes that aim to point out people’s insecurities in an effort to make the pointed subject the butt of the joke.

So how does it work, exactly? It goes like this.

On Tumblr, for instance, the shame meme might begin with “Hey Girls, Did You Know,” and feature a photo of a girl attempting to get your attention through photos.

It will then continue with the same girl holding her breasts and writing, “Your Boobs…,” followed by a final photo of the girl pointing inside her shirt and saying “Go INSIDE Your Shirt.”

The online trend doesn’t necessarily have to be negative, however. Some use it to encourage self-esteem in other teenagers, while others make a point to use one’s insecurities (such as having big breasts) as a way of poking fun at the obvious in a self-deprecating way, rather than holding onto any anger and frustration associated with it.
