New app lets you airbrush your selfie in what's becoming a selfie-obsessed world today. “Fox and Friends Weekend” on Sunday Oct 27, did a segment on the new app called Facetune, which puts the ability of airbrushing a selfie to perfection in the palm of your hand. The Business Insider reports on this new Facetune app, claiming the app is “bringing photo-editing to a whole new level.”
"Fox and Friends Weekend" showed a before and after Facetune picture of a selfie-obsessed woman who works in their studio. They used the Facetune app on her face. She looked great before, but the details they worked on made her look even better.
Clayton Morris, one of the weekend hosts, tried the app on a selfie and the results were somewhat ghoulish. After he applied the app to his face, he looked like a corpse. He was the one to point this out and the viewers would most likely agree with his selfie critique.
The selfie app is already being dubbed “Selfie Surgery,” as John Herman from the website Buzzfeed started the ball rolling on that nick name. The app is offered for the iPhone and for the iPad and Facetune gives you a choice on the first page of what app you want. You click in under the app you want and get to work!
How does this app work?
First go to to Facetune here to start your selfie airbrush experience. You take a picture with Facetune and then go to work. The simple directions let you do everything, such as getting rid of those crows feet and making those pearly whites whiter than you’ve ever seen.
Here are two examples of just how simple Facetune is to use:
Teeth: Whiten teeth by simply sliding your finger back and forth across your mouth.
Eyes: Zoom into the area under your eyes and swipe your finger back and forth until they are smoothed out.
These are two basic functions of the Facetune app, but the app offers so much more in the way of letting you detail your selfie. Check out the new app because if you are like the rest of the crowd today, you possess at least one selfie in your library of pictures!
The Business Insider reminds you that the days of expensive Photoshop software are gone. You now have everything you need to bring that selfie to perfection and it is all for free in the palm of your hand.
