After last year's success, Grassy Knoll Movie Nights in East Nashville will begin the 2012 season this Sunday, April 15th at sundown, around 8 PM.
After screening such great hits last spring like Cool Hand Luke, The Poltergeist, and The Princess Bride, the movie line up for this season has to be spectacular! The first movie in the repertoire will be Jim Henson's 1986 classic The Labyrinth with David Bowie. This event should not be missed by any die-hard Nashvillian!
Grassy Knoll Movie Nights do not pander to the new and racy films hitting the silver screens. They show well-known and loved older movies, cult classics, and even showcase some local independent films and fimmakers. This year, they boast a new screen, that is bigger and better than before!
Food trucks, local vendors, and local brews will be standing by to provide delicious eats and treats. The Grilled Cheeserie has recently been added to the food options this year. If you have not checked out this Nashville food truck, you must! Find their schedule here.
The event this Sunday will be free. But admission is normally $5 for adults, or $4+1 can of food for Second Harvest, and $1 per child 12 and under.
Movies will be screened in the side lawn at Bongo Java East. 109 South 11th Street, Nashville, TN 37206. Parking is on the street.
