There are several new restaurant openings to report in the Fells Point/Harbor East area. First, Bond Street Social will have a soft opening on Thursday, October 20th, with an official opening on Friday, Oct. 21st. Bond Street Social is the new venture in the former DuClaw space. The chef has been named; Neill Howell of Stanton Social in NYC will create a menu of globally inspired dishes. The decor is strikingly modern and will contain something new for Baltimore: an outdoor firepit.
Also, Waterfront Kitchen will be opening with a menu by chef Jerry Pellegrino of Corks. The restaurant will offer local cuisine, with some food grown at the neighboring Living Classrooms project. The restaurant will open in the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Museum in late October.
And last but not least, the Manchurian Rice Company, a "Mongolian BBQ" style restaurant will open in Harbor East at 1010 Aliceanna Street. The 75-seat restaurant serves Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese cuisine, consisting primarily of made-to-order stir-frys. The restaurant will offer a concept not unlike an Asian version of Chipotle.
In chef transitioning news, Chef Mark Littleton of Annabel Lee will be moving to Bistro Rx. Wayne MaHaffey, owner of Bistro Rx, assumingly hopes Littleton can do with the menu at the Patterson Park restaurant what he did at Annabel Lee, that is to say create very inventive and popular gastropub food.
