New release to Home Video: The word is ACTION!

This isn’t a great week for buyers since there is only one high profile film making its way to the stories this week. Nonetheless, this week new release to DVD and Blu-ray still offers some viable options to offset your movie “jones.” There is only one former big screen hit that arrives in your favorite store on Tuesday January 22, 2013. However, there are a number of potentially entertaining choices that go straight to video this week.
This week’s Spotlight release:
End of Watch (Jake Gylenhaal, Michael Pena, and Anna Kendrick)
This week is chocked with a multitude of straight to video choices. With as many as eight potentially entertaining choices, they could offset the limited number of high profile films that debuted this week. Here are the best of them:
Death Race 3: Inferno (Luke Goss, Danny Trejo, and Fredrick Koehler)
Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning (Jean Claude Van Damme, Scott Adkins, and Dolph Lundgren)
The Paperboy (Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, and Matthew McConaughey)
Officer Down (James Woods, Tommy Flannigan, and Dominic Purcell)
Nature Calls (Patton Oswalt, Johnny Knoxville, and Rob Riggle)
Nobody Walks (John Krasinski, Rosemarie Dewitt, and Olivia Thirlby)
A Thousand Cuts (Michael O’Keefe, Michael Newcomer, and James Van Pattern)
You can currently order any of the titles above for pre-order from Amazon. They will be for sale on this Tuesday at all home video retailers but for movie enthusiasts in Baltimore, I recommend making a pit stop at my favorite local vendor in Baltimore for DVD and Blu-ray releases, The Sound Garden in Fells Point.
