Universality of pain explored in newest poetry collection
Fact and fiction intermingle in Queen of Spades’ Private Pain: Amidst These Ashes
Trenton, NJ- Author, reviewer, and magazine columnist Queen of Spades emerges with her latest poetry collection, Private Pain: Amidst These Ashes. This collection is a concoction of universal tribulations and the author’s own trials: outlining the journey from pain to hope.
“If the measure of one’s ability to Love is contingent on the capacity to endure Pain, then hand over the Academy award, for my Soul overfloweth.”
Private Pain: Amidst These Ashes measures Queen of Spades’ emotional endurance into six different stages: all metaphorically tied into the development of fire. Flicker (Stage One) outlines the family dynamic. Candlelight (Stage Two) deals with educational and social adjustments. Blaze (Stage Three) discusses the origins of romantic relationships. Forest Fire and Inferno (Stages Four and Five) marks the pros and cons of finding that special someone. Ashes (Stage Six) concludes with snapshots of introspection achieved through all of the events.
Y. Correa, CEO of All Authors Publications and Promotions describes Private Pain: Amidst These Ashes as “fantastically intense and revealing. An adventure of ardent emotion in the search for love and acceptance.”
Private Pain: Amidst These Ashes will be available for sale at CreateSpace and Amazon.
