Gearbox Software, the developer behind “Borderlands 2,” may be working on a new video game for the Nintendo Wii U, PS4 and Xbox 720. According to a report by Cubed3 on Feb. 2, the title will apparently be a new intellectual property separate from the “Borderlands” brand. The game will be coming from the first-person shooting genre in addition to utilizing the Unreal 4 game engine. In addition to the “Borderlands” series, Gearbox Software was also responsible for the development of “Duke Nukem Forever,” the “Brothers in Arms” series as well as several “Half-Life” ports and expansions.
The latest video game from the studio, “Borderlands 2,” came out for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on Sept. 18 in 2012. It was also ported over and released for the Mac platform on Nov. 20 of the same year. You can purchase the game in the following link: “Borderlands 2”
