Previously, developer CD Projekt Red told the world that they were working on a new graphics engine called the "RedEngine 3." Today, on Mar. 1, 2013, we finally get to see some in-game footage of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" in these very impressive screenshots.
The screenshots allow us to take a gander at the very dark and dank setting of Skellige Islands, one of the places players will get to explore in "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." "CD Projekt RED didn't create an open world with a singular theme, but concentrated on delivering diversified and engaging environments, 30 times larger than those in The Witcher 2.” says Adam Badowski, head of CD Projekt Red's development team. The images displayed look spectacularly detailed now, but are actually from an old renderer during development. "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is currently being reworked with the new engine "RedEngine 3," and is said to deliver enhanced detail fit for the next generation of high-end systems
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will release for the "PS4," "XBOX 720," and "PC" sometime during 2014. The game will contain 50 hours of main storyline and 50 hours of optional sidequests totaling over 100 hours of gameplay. This will be a gigantic adventure that RPG gamers will be eager to dive right into and let the immersion take over.
