New product digest: Launches from Organicville, Kettle Cuisine and more!

As we close in on February, here are some exciting new products and arrivals to look forward to in the weeks and months ahead:

Following on the heels of their successful ice cream range, Organicville is slated to launch a host of new condiments next month, including chili sauce, mayo, non-dairy Caesar and coleslaw dressings, and an agave-sweetened relish. To this Examiner’s knowledge, the latter is the only product of its kind on the market.

Kettle Cuisine has announced its latest soup flavor, Thai Curry Chicken. The company tells us it should be arriving in stores in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area by late summer.

Wild Veggie will be launching two new soup varieties, Butternut Squash and Red Beet, later this year. The brand, which has not previously been available in local retail outlets, will be arriving in stores in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Watch for them at Sprouts Farmers Market, Sunflower Market and Whole Foods Market.

LUNA has introduced two new flavors in its LUNA Protein line, both gluten free: Chocolate and Mint Chocolate Chip. The balance of LUNA Protein flavors will transition to a gluten-free claim on their packaging in the spring of this year.

Sprouts Farmers Market is now stocking O’Dough’s and GNIBakery brands. The former produces breads, buns, sweet cakes and pizza crusts while latter offers breads, croutons, a stuffing mix and more.

Mim’s Kitchen will be adding a sixth cookie variety to its existing line-up of frozen cookie doughs this fall. The company is also revamping its website to allow consumers to order online for shipment across the country.

EVOL Foods has launched a line of frozen gluten-free Bowls in four varieties: Chicken Enchilada, Bean & Cheese Enchilada, Fire Grilled Steak and Teriyaki Chicken. All of them are currently available in the Scottsdale branch of Whole Foods Market. The brand plans to launch several more gluten-free products this year.

Pacific Foods will be unveiling several new gluten-free products at Natural Products Expo West in March, while Crunchmaster has plans to introduce six new items at the show.

Snyder’s of Hanover will add several additional SKUs of gluten-free pretzels this year. 

Beginning in February, Boston Market’s chicken gravy will be reformulated to be gluten free; it will also contain 50% less sodium.

Kinnikinnick’s seasonal Cinnamon Apple Donut will continue its run until the end of February. The brand is also hosting a Valentine’s giveaway on their blog (http://blog.kinnikinnick.com/), offering two winners a package of all of their products containing chocolate.

If you’re up for a day trip to Sedona or Prescott, Pamela’s Products will be participating in the annual Chocolate Festival at New Frontiers Natural Marketplace on February 12. Patrons will have the opportunity to sample Pamela’s amazing White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake, Simplebites Mini Cookies, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies and Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chunk Cookies.

Kim & Scott’s Gluten-Free Soft Pretzels, Amy’s Kitchen Gluten-Free Burritos and Garden Lites souffles have arrived in the Scottsdale Whole Foods store.
