A new set of royal baby photos was released late Monday by Kate Middleton and Prince William. The casual family photos - the first of Prince George since he left the hospital at one day old - were taken by the Duchess of Cambridge's father, according to People which first released the photos.
The two photos include a picture of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with baby George and another shot of the Cambridges with their dog Lupo and another dog Tilly. The highly anticipated Prince George pictures were not taken by a professional photographer, but instead by Michael Middleton. The family was snapped in a garden at the Middleton family home in Berkshire in early August.
The timing of the release of the new pictures is rather unusual - and raises questions as to whether they were leaked early. The photos were first released around 7 p.m. EST -- the middle of the night in the UK. It was previously reported Clarence House would tweet out the new royal baby pictures first with a link to the Duke and Duchess' website. However, as of this publishing, neither of the two official palace Twitter handles @ClarenceHouse or @BritishMonarchy have sent out a tweet regarding the photos.
The first official portraits of Prince George will reportedly be released following his baptism this fall.
