Carol Levers has become president of the Shepherd's Center, 757 Armstrong in Kansas City Kansas.
The Shepherd's Center has been a thriving and happily used organization in KCK for many years, meeting monthly for education classes and fellowship. The Shepherd's Center also offers help to senior citizens who have problems with light home repairs or medical aid.
It is a pleasure to announce that Levers will step into the leadership of such a worthy group. She has a delightful friendly personality that reaches out with care to everyone she meets. In the 23 years since coming from South Africa Carol has become a member of Leadership 2000, the KCK Women's Chamber of Commerce, the KCK Community College Endowment Association, the Director of the KCK Public Libraries and has won the Carnegie Corporation of New York Times, “I love my Librarian Award.”
Another Shepherd's Center honor needs to be announced: Executive Director Linda Siemens welcomed her new baby girl, Sara Katherine Siemens, on December 4th, 2012, just in time for Christmas.
