New poll: Pres. Obama wins title of 'Worst President Since WWII'

Quinnipiac University has released the results of a new poll in which President Barack Obama was determined to be the worst president since World War II. According to a Wednesday article on, 33% of those polled said that Obama is the worst in the past 69 years, and 28% named former president George W. Bush as the worst. Richard Nixon, impeached before his term ended, came in at 13%. The oft-denigrated Jimmy Carter only had 8% of the respondents deeming him as the very worst.

In fairness to the President and to his successor, they both were at the helm during a period of war, partisan hostilities and economic distress in the country. Also, they were the most fresh in the memories of those questioned in the Quinnipiac University poll. Nevertheless, Obama has experienced a marked decline in support across the country, even within his own party. In 2006, former president George W. Bush was awarded the dishonor.

Ronald Reagan was the president voted by 35% of the poll-takers to be the best president since WWII. He was followed by Bill Clinton at 18%, John F. Kennedy at 15% and surprisingly, Obama at 8%. So, Obama appeared on the best and the worst list of presidents. Again, the same effect is surely to be noted regarding those who responded to the poll from a position of youth or ignorance of any administrations but the immediate past.

Currently, there is a loud outcry from citizens across the country because of the immigration influx over the southern borders. While there has been discussion about the cause of this overwhelming amount of illegal immigrants, many of them underage, it is hard to refute that the Obama Administration has sent a message of tolerance to illegal immigration. The Washington-Post writes Wednesday that President Obama is reaching a “boiling point” with the congressional Republicans, largely due to their refusal to work with him on an immigration policy.
