On this day, February 12th, a new app was released on iOS and Android devices for fans of the Pokemon animated series. This app is called Pokemon TV, and allows viewers to stream various episodes from the series on their mobile devices. The app is completely free, as are rights to view the episodes. This app is available and usable on both phone and tablet devices. The correct app (in case some people try to make fake ones) is the app that is from The Pokemon Company International, is called Pokemon TV, and has an icon with Pikachu’s face in front of a blue TV screen.
The episode selection in the app is the same as the selection that is currently available on Pokemon.com. This means that as episodes are cycled out on the website, the same ones will likely be cycled out in the app, and replaced by the same episodes on both the app and the website. As with all streaming services, it is recommended that viewers use a wireless connection when viewing the episodes in order to minimize buffering and loading times.
The current selection of episodes is listed below.
Season 2 episodes 2-12 from the Kanto series.
Season 4 episodes 23-32 from the Johto series.
Season 7 episodes 46-52 and Season 8 episodes 1-3 from the Hoenn series.
Season 11 episode 52 and Season 12 episodes 1-9 from the Sinnoh series.
Season 14 episodes 38-47 from the Unova series.
There is also an episode labeled "Special" that is titled "Pokemon BW: Adventures in Unova".
